Three Pakistani Artists at the Homer, Love & Peace through Art Festival and Painting Tour in Turkey
Mr. Ghulam Kamangar a notable watercolor artist from Karachi, and two of his students, Saleem Akhter also from Karachi and S. Kazmi from Lahore got the opportunity to represent Pakistan at this event. They were among the 50 or so artists who worked on the key feature, i.e. a huge painting whose aim was to capture the various beautiful landscapes of that region. Other than that they participated in different activities especially painting cityscapes, landscapes and live portrait, which they exhibited and were much appreciated by all.
The Festival was being held for the 4th time. It consisted of an artwork exhibition, live painting, exclusive gatherings of artists, Q & A sessions as well as a competition. Each artist could submit up to three entries. Top winners got cash awards, while all participants got a plaque and certificate. It was a great success as it was attended by 70 Master Artists, 250 Fellow Artists, the International Watercolor Society (IWS) members from 50 countries, Turkish VIP’s, other guests and the public.
