Pakistan Pharmaceutical Association is going to host its first export summit on September 29th at Serena Islamabad.

The event is going to be addressed and hosted by Abdul Razak Dawood, Asad Umer, along with SAPM on CPEC Khalid Mansoor, SAPM on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan and many other prominent participants.

Pakistan has witnessed a significant increase in the Pharmaceutical sector in these couple of years. The amount which Pakistan generated in Pharmaceuticals is reported to be around $3.2 billion in 2020, which is an increase of 200% compared to the past 9 years.

Pakistan exports in this sector increase by 23% which is about $68.1 million in numbers during the first quarter of 2020 – 2021.

Pakistan is the 5th populous country and has witnessed the recent expansion of the public health sector. Pharmaceutical manufacturing in Pakistan has the potential to go up to $5 billion by 2024 – 25. Pakistan Pharmaceutical industry has the potential to compete with the global leader in this industry provided the industry gets the proper support from the government regarding manufacturing policies.

First PESA is targeting to shed the light on problems faced in this sector so they can be addressed and highlight the potential it has in contributing to the economy of the Country.
