Pakistan Cricket all-rounder and a veteran, Shoaib Malik, becomes the first-ever Pakistani and Asian to reach the milestone of 11,000 runs in T20 cricket.

Shoaib Malik achieved this milestone during the game of National T20 competition, the match was between Middle Punjab vs Southern Punjab at Gadaffi Stadium Lahore, Malik is aged 39 and has achieved this milestone to become the first-ever Pakistani to score 11,000.

Malik achieved this milestone on his 411th innings which makes him one of very few players to have 400 innings under their belts.

Malik is one of only two players who have started playing in the 1990s and are still in very good shape to continue playing – one of the other two is Chris Gayle from West Indies.

Shoaib Malik is the third Pakistani all-rounder to achieve this milestone. Malik is the first and only “non-Caribbean” to achieve this task, the other two to achieve this task are from West Indies – Chris Gayle with 14,276 runs and Keiron Pollard with 11,223 runs.

Malik is also among those major players for Pakistan Cricket who have the most scores of 50 including centuries followed by Babar Azam with 65 scores of 50 or higher.
