The world’s most massive copy of the Holy Quran is being prepared in Karachi, Pakistan by a well-known artist, Rassam, and his accomplices.

It is said to break the record of the largest Quran in Afghanistan (completed in 2017) which is 6.5 feet in height and 4.5 feet in length.

Mr. Rassam has worked with over 200 of his associates to produce a copy that is 8.5 feet in height and 6.5 feet in length. This is stated to be the first time the Quran is being cast in a material other than wood, paper, animal skin and cloth, it is being cast in aluminium.

Mr. Rassam states this to be his lifetime project according to the Anadolu Agency.

He has worked crucially hard to make this work possible, aged 49, Rassam has been working 10 hours a day since the beginning of this month and has been able to prepare the first two pages of the holy scripture.

He pointed out that he solely stated this project on his own but projects like these require support from the government as it’s difficult for a person to bear the expenses.

The Quran is being embedded into aluminium and is plated in gold, making the project significantly expensive.

Mahnoor Khan, one of his associates in this project expressed that she is proud to be a part of such a prodigious project and their aim is to exhibit the artistic side of Pakistan and Islam.
