A Man of discipline, commitment, determination, and focus, has made his motherland proud once again by competing in the Commonwealth Games this year. Nooh has been training for this moment his entire life. He previously obtained a bronze medal for lifting 105 kilograms in the 2018 games shattering the record of Talha Talib. Nooh has stated that he’s been going to the gym from day one with the motivational phrase “Fitness is my Passion”. Nooh Dastagir Butt is one of those individuals who has gone through many challenges and has faced obstacles a normal person couldn’t fathom. His training regimen consisted of weight training with 100-kilogram weights daily. He also had to maintain a strict diet and was required to complete circuits of upper and lower body workouts.

Nooh Dastagir Butt; The Strongest Man

Nooh has broken the record of the heaviest weight lifted in the world by first lifting 173 kilograms, after which he continued to lift 109 kilograms. With incredible posture and momentum, he lifted in a clean and jerk event around 232 kilograms in the first go. Nooh went on to set a new record at 405 kilograms shattering David Andrew, an international weightlifter from New Zealand. David placed 2nd and received a silver medal for his 394-kilogram lift. And Singh Gurdeep from India placed 3rd and received a bronze medal for accomplishing a 390-kilogram lift. Nooh has received several praises from Pakistani Gym enthusiasts as well as a special congratulatory message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
