'She Loves Tech' Comes Back to Pakista- HouseofPakistan

Introduction

The event will be held this year in cities like Sukkur, Hyderabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, Jamshoro. At the same time, some cities like Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore are also a part of the competition. To make up for problems caused by the pandemic, CIRCLE extended the celebration of the Cradle event in 2021 to thirteen cities. This year over 200 applicants sought to take part in the program from outlying cities of Pakistan. In September 2021, sixty startup companies from the inter-city rounds displayed their inventions to fill in the national finals.

The Goal of She Loves Tech

Previously, Sadaffe Abid managed CIRCLE’s Women Economic Empowerment Technology Center. She worked closely with women in digital and financial inclusion at CIRCLE. Sadaffe Abid explained that the center’s goal is to inspire women in creating technology and effecting changes for women around the world. Aiman Bashir from Out-Of-Class (an EdTech startup) won the most in She Loves Tech National competition in 2021. And also went on to the highest Global worldwide stakes for 40 different countries. Out-of-Class has won $500,000 in a seed funding round thus far.

What’s Next in She Loves Tech for 2022

In 2022, CIRCLE will have 52 local rounds in 20 cities. These rounds will be conducted on locations where CIRCLE has taken in “She Loves Tech” (an event tailored for young women to facilitate access to technology) previously. The organization’s target is to reach at least 25,000 young girls across Pakistan by offering various mentoring, advocacy, lectures, workshops, and other activities that inspire them. This year the “She loves Tech” ceremony will be held in over 70+ countries which will increase their viewer count and also allow them to host multiple celebrities.
