Places to Visit in Naran

Naran isn't a big town, but there are enough things to do around it to keep visitors busy for a few days. Most of the attractions are close enough to get to without a long drive, which is why many people choose to stay in Naran and take their time exploring the area.

Lake Saif ul Muluk

Lake Saif ul Muluk is the most visited spot near Naran and is often the highlight of the trip. The lake lies about nine kilometers from town and sits at a much higher elevation, which gives it a cooler and sometimes unpredictable climate. Visitors usually plan this trip early in the morning to avoid clouds and crowds, especially during peak summer months.

Viewpoints along the Babusar Top road

People who stay in Naran often go to the Babusar Top road, even if they don't plan to go all the way to the top. There are a number of natural viewpoints along the road where people can stop and enjoy the open space, the curves of the mountains, and the cooler air. People like to take

pictures and have tea breaks at these short stops when the weather is nice.

Kunhar River and valley scenery

The Kunhar River runs next to Naran and through most of Kaghan Valley, changing the land. There are quiet spots along the river where people stop to rest, take pictures, or just listen to the sound of the water flowing. These stops are peaceful because they have trees and open valley views, and you don't have to do much to get there

Lulusar Lake and nearby high-altitude lakes

Lulusar Lake is often included as part of a longer day trip from Naran, depending on road access and seasonal conditions. The journey itself is part of the experience, with wide open views and cooler temperatures as elevation increases. Many travelers consider this route when planning a broader Naran Kaghan itinerary rather than a short stay.

Naran Bazaar

Back in town, Naran Bazaar offers a simple change of pace from outdoor travel. It is a short market street where visitors can buy snacks, souvenirs, and basic items for the journey. The evenings are the busiest time, so it's a good place to take a slow walk after you've been sightseeing in the valley.
