Walk into Garrison Park on any evening, and you'll see joggers circling the tracks, kids racing toward the swings, fitness enthusiasts doing pull-ups and families spread out on the grass, chatting over chai. It is not just a park but where the heartbeat of Peshawar is heard better. 

Garrison Park is among the most active and busy parks among the people in the city. You have fitness or a safe place to play games with your children, a place to have a refreshing time after a hard week at work. It's a favorite among students, fitness lovers, and nearby residents who treat it like their evening living room.

Right at the Heart of Bashirabad

Garrison Park, which is one of the well connected residential areas of Peshawar, is found in Bashirabad. It's just off GT Road, so getting there is easy whether you're driving or using local transport.

The park sits right in the middle of a lively neighborhood. You've got the Total Football grounds nearby, the busy Bashirabad commercial strip, and plenty of local cafes within walking distance. What the Park Looks Like

Step inside and you're greeted by wide green lawns, shaded sitting areas, and smooth paved tracks that loop around the park (Evendo). The vibe here? Always buzzing.

Things pick up particularly in the evenings. You will find joggers who are jogging on the track and families who are taking their favorite benches and kids running around in the playground. The park is properly illuminated and even after dark it is safe and inviting. The walkways are lined with trees, which provide some shade in the daytime and a warm feeling at night. 

It has also been turned into a tourist destination to take photos and have informal gatherings. If you scroll through Instagram, you'll find plenty of Garrison Park moments tagged.

The park offers a variety of activities for adults and children. 

Walking & Jogging Tracks

Garrison Park has one of the best tracks in Peshawar in case you are a person who loves taking evening walks and runs. It has long loops to get your steps in and the pavements are so smooth that it is not hard on your feet. The lighting is good, and you do not need to worry that you might fall in the dark.

Open Air Gym

Here's where things get interesting. Garrison Park has one of the most-used open-air gyms in the city. You'll find basic strength machines, pull-up bars, and stretching areas which are all free to use. It's popular with young guys who come here after college or work to get their reps in. 

Sports & Total Football Nearby

If you're into football, you're in luck. Total Football, one of Peshawar's top spots for the sport, is right next to the park. Many visitors come for practice sessions and then cool off in Garrison Park afterward. It's become a mini sports hub for the area.

Family & Kids Zone

Families love this place. It has a separate playground that has swings, slides, and safe seating areas where parents can sit and have an eye on children. Weekends get packed, especially in the late afternoon when everyone's done with their day.

Relaxation Areas

Not here to work out? No problem. The lawns and the shaded areas are ideal picnic spots, reading areas, and sitting areas with friends. They have tea stands and snack stands right beyond the gate so you have to have a samosa and a cup of chai before entering.
